In party mood at the charity fashion show

Our recent charity fashion show at Qudos in Salisbury was an amazing success with standing room only. Twenty models took part, 19 wearing a wig and the audience challenged to spot who wasn't. They narrowed it down to a choice of two and one of them was correct.

The models were so nervous and they looked stunning in clothes from Anokhi, Hana Rebdi, Phase Eight, Joules, Richmond Classic, and Foxtrot Retro Shop with shoes supplied from Sugar Plum Fairy. Spire fm's Chris Ewington did a great job of entertaining the audience.

A total of £2000 was raised - £1500 being presented to Trevor Sorbie MBE My New Hair on the night by Nicky (see picture) and £500 being presented to Pembroke Unit the following week. The second part of the show was a showcase of iconic women from the 1950s to the present day.

Number Sixty presented 'Wigs are In!' on Wednesday 8 June 2011, at QUDOS, 38 Castle Street, Salisbury SP1 1BN. Music was provided by Richmond Soul. Doors opened at 6.30pm. Tickets were £20 including a welcome drink and canapes. This charity fashion show was in aid of Trevor Sorbie MBE My New Hair and The Pembroke Unit Charities. Our guest presenter was Spire fm's Chris Ewington.

Many thanks to our sponsors including: Anokhi, Phase Eight, Foxtrot Vintage Shop, Sugar Plum Fairy, Richmond Classics, and Hana Rebdi Boutique. Further information from Number Sixty, 01722 414 344.

Spire Fm's Chris Ewington (below) came to the salon to record the apprentice. He was training in applying hair extensions and wig fitting using Nicky as a model. Chris was fired as an extensionist but hired as a wig fitter.
